A stylish and contemporary Lakeland treasure in a superb location; only a mile from the vibrant village and lake shore, but slightly elevated to give super views towards Lake Windermere and the fells beyond.
The elegant living space forms a great retreat for families or friends. Sociable areas extend throughout the cottage and there is lots of space to relax and unwind. You'll enjoy beautiful views, but it has to be said the top bedroom boasts the wonderful lake views. As well as being convenient for attractions and entertainment in Bowness, and of course on Lake Windermere, April Cottage is also a great base for walking and mountain biking. Being only a few hundred yards from the ferry which takes you over the lake to Grizedale and other areas making our area 'The Adventure Capital' for the UK, the cottage is equipped with a useful garage / drying room, perfect for the bikers.

Entrance hall leading into the stylish living area, a large picture window looks out to the distant Langdale Pikes, this is a great room for relaxing and entertaining and it leads into the very well equipped kitchen with all you need. Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms, one with en-suite facility and then there is another large bathroom, upstairs again and the room with the best view. There is another single bedroom for your use if you wish, for flexibility, but a maximum of 6 guests. Two Private parking spaces in front of the property & one parking space in front of the garage at the rear of the property
Location
On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere and close to Windermere Golf Club, Bowness is a vibrant Lake District village with a wealth of attractions and appeal for all ages. The village has a contemporary shopping street, with supermarkets, delicatessens and everything you could need during a self-catering holiday in the Lake District.
There are many family attractions in Bowness. From the famous 'World of Beatrix Potter Attraction', to row boats in the bay and mini-golf on the 'Glebe', you'll never be short of things to do with the kids. Windermere Lake Cruises also depart regularly from Bowness Pier to Ambleside and Lakeside - a great way to explore without taking the car. Lakeside is well worth a visit for families, as you'll find both the Lakes Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite historic railway to entertain you there.
Bowness is probably the Lake District's liveliest spot for evenings out, and there are plenty of options for eating out in Bowness. For a stylish dining try The Postilion Restaurant. For a quirky take on tapas, try 'Lucy4 at The Porthole'. Or take your pick from a number of traditional Lakeland pubs serving real ale and hearty pub food. There are also a number of lively bars in Bowness, as well as the lake shore Wheelhouse nightclub.
