Location
This characterful Bowness holiday cottage provides easy access to one of the Lake District's most vibrant villages on the stunning shores of Lake Windermere. Only a stroll away, you'll find sophisticated shops, tasty eateries and a wide range of pubs and restaurants. The village has a cinema, a theatre and also boasts the famous World of Beatrix Potter attraction -  a favourite for the kids.

But the real attraction of a holiday cottage in Bowness is the proximity to Lake Windermere. Stroll down to Bowness Bay and you'll be able to catch an unforgettable cruise on one of the steamers; they carry passengers the full length of the lake with stops at Ambleside and Lakeside. There's plenty of fun for kids, and hire motor boats or row boats for all ages to enjoy.
If you're planning to explore much further afield than Bowness itself, you'll find yourself in a great starting place. The A591 leads effortlessly north to Windermere village, Ambleside, Grasmere and beyond.
