The location is quiet but only a stroll from shops, Lakeland pubs and restaurants in Bowness, the glorious shore of Lake Windermere and the boating activity of the bay. Every room is beautifully presented, retaining traditional charm and providing ample space for relaxing or socialising. Unwind in front of the fire, share a meal in the spacious kitchen / dining room and catch up on your sleep in the gorgeous bedrooms, each characterised by a pretty, decorative fireplace.

Enter via a small shingled front garden area, with bench and pretty love seat. The entrance hall contains plenty of local information. Comfortable lounge with three small sofas, feature fireplace, flat screen TV and a selection of books.
The spacious kitchen / dining area is well-equipped for family or group dining, also containing a 'back kitchen' with laundry appliances and drying rack. Upstairs to the serene master bedroom with pine king size bed, a smaller double bedroom and additional bunk bedroom. All bedrooms have ample storage, and feature original cast iron decorative fireplaces. The house bathroom is fresh and newly tiled, with bath and separate shower cubicle.

This self-catering cottage in Bowness-on-Windermere provides an excellent base for a varied Lake District holiday. Stroll from your door to discover Lakeland pubs, Bowness restaurants and famous Lake District family attractions including the World of Beatrix Potter. For evening entertainment, Bowness has several sophisticated bars, the Royalty Cinema and Old Laundry Theatre.
The shore of Lake Windermere is only a stone's throw from Bowness village centre; hire boats come and go and Windermere Lake Cruises ferry passengers the full length of the lake with stops at Ambleside and Lakeside.
For exploring the wider Lake District, Bowness is a great place to start. Windermere village is only a couple of miles away, where the A591 connects to Ambleside, Rydal Water and historic Grasmere - where more Lake District attractions and historic sites are to be found. The whole area is rife with famous Lake District walks, and there's plenty of information to guide you at Bowness Tourist Information Centre.
