Climb two flights of stairs to the apartment, and an entrance hall with space for walking clobber. The studio living space is neat and thoughtfully arranged, with a quirky loft ceiling and character beams. The kitchen area incorporates a handy pull-out breakfast table, and the double bed feels wonderfully cosy, nestled under the eaves. The studio has a superb bathroom with wood-panelled ceiling and shower over bath.

Location
This self-catering apartment in Grasmere puts you right at the heart of the Lakes, with a historic village centre and ample facilities practically on your doorstep. Grasmere village is quaint and picturesque with its pretty little lake, and a real treat for a romantic Lake District holiday. The village is steeped with historic interest, as the former home to the famous Lake District poet, William Wordsworth, whose home can be visited at nearby Dove Cottage - part of the Wordsworth Museum. The village has also inspired well-known watercolour artists, whose work can be seen in a number of art galleries including the Heaton Cooper Studio.
You'll find numerous shops, tea rooms and treats including the world-famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. The Jumble Room restaurant is also renowned in the area, and is a must for that special occasion. Country pubs abound, and will serve you well after a long day on the Lakeland fells!

Head up to Easedale Tarn in the fells over the village, or take on famous walks such as Loughrigg, Silver How and Fairfield. Your route up Helvellyn begins only a short drive away at Thirlmere.
Exploring other attractions in the Lake District is easy. For example, you only need follow the A591 to Rydal Water then Ambleside and the northern shores of Lake Windermere. Or branch off to the spectacular Langdale Valley, with many more walking opportunities. To your south are Coniston Water and Hawkshead village - not to be missed as part of your Lake District holiday.
