VisitEngland 4 star rated property

A glorious hideaway for one or two couples, tucked away from the rush and promising a breathtaking view that will stay with you long after you leave. Silver Howe's super-stylish living room and dining area really embrace the outlook - celebrate a special occasion while gazing towards Lake Windermere and the famous Langdale Pikes and Silver Howe. Both double bedrooms are divine, but the master bedroom is a romantic treat with queen-size four-poster bed. Although located in a more peaceful conservation area, Silver Howe is still within very easy reach of Bowness village and Lake Windermere. Location
Bowness is a contemporary Lake District village, nestled on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere. The high street is well-served with handy supermarkets, sophisticated shops and a wide range of excellent eateries. There is a mainstream cinema, the Royalty, and also an interesting theatre venue called the Old Laundry Theatre.

Keen walkers will find easy access to many popular Lake District walking routes. Head up to Gummers How to admire Lake Windermere from on high, or take the car ferry across the lake to explore walking routes near Hawkshead. Grizedale Forest is also easily accessible via the car ferry, and full of family fun with walking paths, cycle tracks and sculpture trails.

Some of the most popular attractions in Bowness are the boating activities on Lake Windermere. Stroll to Bowness Pier and you can travel by steamer to Ambleside or Lakeside - scenic exploring without using your car. Evening cruises are also available, with live music and buffet meals.
