Crinkle Crags, Langdale

Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 4

This magical and perhaps romantic log cabin in the Langdale Valley is part of the select Neaum Crag development, surrounded by 18 acres of magnificent woodland. Set into woodland slopes, Crinkle Crags looks down through majestic tall trees towards Skelwith Bridge. The accommodation is beautifully presented, snug and cosy just as a country hideaway should be. Extending to a furnished veranda with glorious views, you'll really make the most of the setting. The Neaum Crag development offers use of a small, never crowded, swimming pool and has a useful shop for the essentials. With so many walks surrounding you, and a country pub, gallery and cafe only minutes away in Skelwith Bridge, you may never need to use your car.

Location
Self-catering accommodation in the Langdale Valley provides a true haven for walkers, and for those who value peace and quiet. The Neaum Crag development of Lake District log cabins is small, exclusive and tasteful, bringing the benefit of on-site facilities to an otherwise blissfully secluded location. Skelwith Bridge is only a stroll away, with a country pub, gallery and cafe.

The Langdale Valley itself is not a place of tourist hustle and bustle; you'll stroll along the valley bottom and admire the dominating presence of the Langdale Pikes. Take on some of the Lake District's most memorable hikes, or get to know the tiny communities of Chapel Style and Elterwater, and the lovely shores of this little tarn.
Only a short distance away is the vibrant Lake District village of Ambleside, on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. There you'll find extensive facilities, sophisticated shopping, fabulous cafes and renowned Lake District restaurants including the famous 'Glass House'. Windermere Lake Cruises depart from Waterhead Pier, providing your scenic route to Bowness Bay and Lakeside, and there's endless walking advice on hand in expert shops.
