Private parking for 1 car. An old oak door leads from courtyard into a beautiful entrance hall, with oak latched doors leading to the various rooms. Relaxed, open plan living / dining room and shaker style granite kitchen. Double bedroom with romantic king-size bed and luxurious shower room. The gardens of the property are a feature all year round, with furnished areas for drinks and meals al-fresco.

Location
This romantic holiday cottage in Near Sawrey places you at the heart of Beatrix Potter country - the author's former home is only a stroll away at Hill Top and open for the public to explore. The village local, the Tower Bank Arms is also a magical step back in time, featuring in Beatrix Potter's 'Tales of Jemima Puddleduck'.
In the landscapes around Near Sawrey, you'll find plenty of memorable places to explore - even if you don't want to be too energetic. The spectacular Tarn Hows walk is a favourite for its serene beauty. Many famous Lake District walking routes begin in the surrounding area, and also nearby in the Langdale Valley and Coniston.
Hawkshead village is only a couple of miles away, with its car-free cobbled streets, air of history and fascinating attractions to boot - including the Hawkshead Grammar School museum (a real step back in time). The village is also your bolt hole for shops and facilities - stock up the kitchen with tasty local produce at the Honeypot delicatessen, and sample a few of the excellent eateries in the village.
Another nearby must-see Lakeland village is Ambleside, a popular Lake District self-catering location on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. You'll find a wide range of sophisticated shops, restaurants and even two cinemas in the village centre.
