The accommodation is stylish and superbly arranged for sociable gatherings; relax on sumptuous sofas in the living room, admiring the view through a wall of glass to the balcony. Entertain in style, with a superbly equipped kitchen, dining space, furnished balcony and sunny garden equipped for fabulous BBQs. Rest-up in Laura Ashley-styled double bedrooms, and let the kids entertain themselves in a cosy bunk room stocked with books and games. Perfect! The owners regret that this property can not accommodate children under 5 years old.

Private parking for 3 cars. External steps lead to the first floor entrance hall and cloaks cupboard. On this level are the 2 double bedrooms (one king-size), compact bunk room with 2'6" beds, (more suitable for children), TV, books and games, and newly installed house bathroom. Upstairs to the spacious open plan living area, with relaxed Laura Ashley furnishings, laminate flooring and full-width scenic balcony. The dining area is adjacent to the cream Shaker-style kitchen. Sunny south-facing garden, equipped with BBQ, furniture and sun loungers.

Location
This superb Bowness self-catering property is perfectly placed for a varied Lake District holiday. Soak up the views from the comfort of home, relax in a secluded and sunny garden, but enjoy the convenience of shops, restaurants, bars and boating activities all only a stroll away. On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, Bowness is a bustling tourist destination with a character all of its own. Contemporary shopping streets lead down to Bowness Bay, where hire boats come and go, and Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside. There's lots to see in both these areas, and they can be explored without even taking your car.
Lake District bus tours also depart regularly from Bowness village, but if you'd prefer to explore by car you'll find that driving is scenic in every direction. A couple of miles away, the A591 leads right into the heart of the Lakes, taking in Ambleside, historic Grasmere, and branching off to breathtaking locations such as the Langdale Valley - many famous Lake District walking routes are within easy reach.
Family attractions in Bowness include the World of Beatrix Potter, right in the village centre. This famous children's author lived just on the other side of Lake Windermere, in the sleepy hamlet of Near Sawrey. Her home is open to the public and can be reached easily via the car ferry crossing from Bowness. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness, on the way into the scenic Lyth Valley. The lush green landscapes are a delight to explore, with many walking routes and a wealth of renowned Lake District gastropubs. Well worth a try!
