The relaxed pace of life in this historic village is made even more special by it's two excellent local pubs, and also by the fact that both Windermere and Ambleside remain only a few miles away. Step inside Skye Villa and you'll discover a genuine home-from-home; cosy and homely, well presented but relaxed and perfectly arranged for holiday living. The lounge is well placed on the first floor, enjoying fabulous views that will stay with you long after you leave. The scenic garden and furnished terrace make for dreamlike summer days, and the garden is enclosed to ensure a free rein for children.

Glazed entrance porch for leaving those walking boots. Fitted kitchen, well equipped for holiday living. Separate dining room furnished with antique pine. Elegant hall and staircase to the lounge, which enjoys fabulous and far reaching views over the Troutbeck Valley. Both double and twin bedroom are also on the first floor, along with the bathroom with shower over bath.
A further entrance hall gives access to the enclosed garden and scenic decked terrace, furnished for meals al-fresco.

Location
A holiday cottage in the Troutbeck Valley provides a Lake District holiday experience like no other. Troutbeck village is only a short drive from shops and restaurants in Windermere village, Lake Windermere itself and the vibrant lake shore communities of Bowness and Ambleside.
The location provides a peaceful and picturesque haven, away from the daily hustle and bustle of the busier tourist areas. Visit them when you like, and retreat to blissful tranquility within minutes!

Spectacular Lakeland fells surround the lush Troutbeck Valley, which is scattered with historic Lakeland houses and pretty woodlands. There's a lovely old church to explore, and two gorgeous traditional pubs. Both the Queen's Head and the Mortal Man are within easy reach, serving high class pub meals and locally brewed ale.

There are endless opportunities to take on famous Lake District walking routes beginning on your doorstep such as Wansfell. Or, head over Kirkstone Pass towards Ullswater and you'll pass Brothers Water - one of our favourite spots for a leisurely Sunday stroll.
For exploring further afield, despite the blissfully secluded feel of the Troutbeck Valley, you're never too far from the main linking roads throughout the Lake District.
