The area is home to Waterhead Pier, meaning the lake cruises depart almost on your doorstep providing a scenic and car-free route to explore Bowness and Lakeside! Waterhead also has a handful of pubs and eateries on the lake shore. Why not wander out for morning coffee or an evening drink on the lake shore?
In Ambleside village itself, you'll find the Lake District's most cosmopolitan village community. The historic and attractive village centre has grown to offer sophisticated shopping, excellent eating and also a range of evening entertainment.
