Each bedroom has a charm of its own, the dining room ensures you'll make the most of time at home, and the living room - warmed by an open fire - promises rewarding 'downtime' after a day on the fells.

Parking for 3 cars outside the property. Traditional stone steps lead down to the entrance porch, and the entrance hall which features a writing desk. Perhaps you'll be inspired just as William Wordsworth was! The elegant living room has a superb splayed window, comfortable furnishings and open fire. Well-equipped kitchen / dining room with space for sociable meals in.
Upstairs to the 3 double en-suite bedrooms (one with a four poster bed) and additional twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Large, lovely gardens with outdoor seating.

Location
This large cottage in Grasmere is truly enviable for its scenic location. With the views beginning at home, you'll be tempted to take on such famous Lake District walks as Silver How, Lang How and Helm Crag. Rising behind the property is the impressive 'Fairfield Horseshoe' - keen walkers will be spoilt for choice.
But a holiday property in Grasmere isn't just a dream for walkers. This historic Lake District village is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage - now owned by the National Trust and open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum. Artists will enjoy browsing several watercolour galleries in Grasmere, particularly the Heaton Cooper Studio which displays the Cooper family's famous work as well as that of inspired local artists.

The village centre has all the facilities you'll need during your self-catering holiday at the heart of the Lakes. From local shops and supermarket to quaint tea rooms and acclaimed restaurants - the Good Food Guide-listed Jumble Room is a treat for a special occasion.
Travel a short distance back along the A591, past tranquil Rydal Water, and you'll reach Ambleside on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. There you'll find a cosmopolitan village centre with a wider range of shops, cafes, cinema, acclaimed Lake District restaurants such as The Glass House, and the opportunity to take a cruise on Lake Windermere.
