This characterful Lakeland cottage, laced with gorgeous exposed oak beams, is a fantastic base for as many as 8 family members or friends. It takes a peaceful location, seconds from the centre of Windermere village and only two miles from the lake shore at Bowness Bay. As well as being incredibly convenient, this is a place to spend quality time at the end of a long day out.
The spacious living area provides cosy comfort and dining space for sociable meals, and a pool table and Playstation for fun. You'll never be bored on a rainy day!

Entrance hall leads to large lounge with generous sofas and feature fireplace (electric fire for ease). Adjoining dining room with family-size dining table. Small enclosed yard outside, useful for bikes. Clean and tidy kitchen catering easily for group meals. One double bedroom on the ground floor, with en-suite bathroom (games area with pool table and TV with Playstation). First floor: Two double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room. Full-sized bunk room and house bathroom.

Location
Windermere village is a great place to start your self-catering holiday in the Lake District. The friendly village centre boasts an excellent supermarket and local shops for stocking up the kitchen, plus plenty of tempting cafes and Lakeland pubs. With the train station only a stroll from your door, as well as good Lakes bus connections, you may not even need your car!
Just down the road in Bowness, which is on Lake Windermere's shore, you'll find plenty more to see and do. For the daytime there's the boating activity of the bay and the not to be missed Windermere Lake Cruises. By night you'll find a wide choice of restaurants, several lively pubs and bars, a cinema and even the Old Laundry Theatre.
