Low Brown Barn is located at Waterhead, close to Waterhead Pier on the edges of Ambleside village. You'll find excellent lake shore meals at the Wateredge Inn, and elegant lake cruises to Bowness or Lakeside - a great way to explore these must-see locations without even using your car.
Stroll into Ambleside village centre, and you'll find a vibrant community of sophisticated shops, tempting delicatessens, pubs, bars and acclaimed Lake District restaurants. Stock up the kitchen at Lucy's of Ambleside, enjoy a lazy breakfast in one of the many tempting cafés, or enjoy an evening out - from traditional pubs and Lakeland ale, to fine dining at The Glass House, there's something for every taste. Ambleside also has two unusual cinemas; Zeffirellis with pizzeria and live jazz bar, and Fellinis with its vegetarian restaurant and quirky studio cinema.
Take your camera if you visit 'Bridge House'; an intriguing historic building teetering on a bridge in central Ambleside.
