A short stroll from Windermere village and the lake, there really is too much to say about this fabulous holiday home find. If it was for sale, we'd say viewing is very highly recommended! From the huge wooden-floored drawing room with its grand marble fire place and gothic windows, to the stylish sunny conservatory and Monkey Puzzle gardens... the designer kitchen with attached snug and open fire, to the luxurious wooden floored bedrooms... this place is undoubtedly unique.

Private parking for 4 cars. Enter to slate-floored hallway, cloakroom and a single / twin bedroom. A utility room and then into the stunning wood-finished kitchen, and the cosy snug area with open fire. The dining room has a woodburner and the living room is superbly spacious, with a marble fire place, leather sofas and wooden floor. Upstairs to 2 king size bedrooms, one with en-suite and also a separate luxurious bathroom. Upstairs again to the triple bedroom with 3 single beds, and a further bedroom with king size bed and pull out single mattress. Additional separate bathroom on this floor. Outside, the Thomas Mawson designed gardens boast a Monkey Puzzle tree.

What a location, close to stunning Lake Windermere and only a few minutes stroll from both Windermere village and Bowness Bay. Wherever you're coming from, you'll find The West Wing easily accessible from the M6 and also by train to Windermere village.
With vibrant village life and the lake shore close to by to explore on foot, excellent bus links from both Bowness and Windermere, and of course ferry trips on the lake itself...you could spend an entire holiday here without having to use the car. The convenience of the location and local transport links is a dream for larger groups - all guests can enjoy their independence.
For family attractions, waterborne activities, leisurely lake cruises and lively evening entertainment , make your way a down to Bowness Bay - a pleasant stroll by day and a very short taxi drive by night. Bowness is also home to such famed attractions as the World of Beatrix Potter. You can enjoy lovely walks from Windermere village, without even having to stray too far. A short walk up Orrest Head from the village centre affords fabulous views to Lake Windermere.
