The countryside setting is tranquil and relaxing, and the enchanting interior simply oozes 'olde worlde' charm. Old oak beams and ancient spice cupboards, quirky wooden doors and adorable cottage windows...magical gardens for sunny days and the warmth of a woodburning stove for chilly evenings. But despite the traditional character, creature comforts are up to scratch and bedrooms beautifully furnished. If you're celebrating, don't forget to bring some booze for the bar in the dining room!

Separate dining room with patio doors to the garden, and a feature bar area. Bright and airy breakfast kitchen, and ground floor bathroom. Upstairs to the 3 pretty bedrooms; 2 king-size doubles and 1 twin. 2nd house bathroom with a view from the centrepiece bath. Outside, the gardens are a real feature. There is a pond, so please be vigilant with young children.

This enchanting rural Lake District self-catering property remains within strolling distance of Windermere village, easily accessible from the M6 being just off the A591 road.
You'll find everything you need during your Lake District self-catering holiday in the village centre. Stock up the kitchen at Windermere Booths supermarket - well stocked with the finest local produce as well as everyday essentials. It's right next door to the headquarters of Lakeland Ltd - a must for culinary fans!
Windermere village centre also has a number of smaller local shops, a traditional butcher, several excellent cafes and a choice of restaurants. A wider range of eateries and traditional Lakeland pubs are only a couple of miles down the road in Bowness village - on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere.
Windermere is a brilliant base for walking in the Lake District. As well as exploring the shores of Lake Windermere and the fells overlooking the lake, you can follow the A591 easily to popular walking destinations such as Ambleside, Grasmere and beyond.
