Tanwood Barn, Hawkshead
Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 8
An absolutely enchanting traditional Lakeland barn in the sleepy hamlet of Satterthwaite, between Hawkshead and Lake Windermere, blissfully secluded yet only a stone's throw from the village pub. A true character property, Tanwood Barn is captivating throughout; 4 beautiful bedrooms and 3 reception rooms. Enormous windows bring the 'outside in', with views cascading over open countryside as far as the eye can see. Tanwood Barn is built into the slope of a hill, with a topsy turvy layout. The first floor living spaces take full advantage of the views, and the dining hall opens out to the patio and garden from this level. Perfect for atmospheric evening meals or lazy lunches on sunny days. After dinner, relax in the comfort of the cosy beamed lounge and send the kids (or big kids!) downstairs to play table tennis and darts in the games room.
