Permit parking provided in central Ambleside. Enter to a hall with space for walking gear, leading into the lovely open plan living room. This room has a cosy living area with woodburning stove, Laura Ashley sofas and a cute window seat. The kitchen area is neat and stylish with a Smeg fridge among the appliances. Access to the patio area from here. Upstairs to a double bedroom, with bathroom and dressing room with additional single bed. Upstairs again to a wonderful king-size double bedroom, with en-suite bathroom and views to Loughrigg and the famous Fairfield range.

Location
Ambleside is the Lake District's most sophisticated village, steeped with historic buildings and traditional Lake District cottages, but well-served with high quality shops, acclaimed Lake District restaurants and even the Zeffirellis cinema, pizzeria and jazz bar.
Stroll to the village centre and you'll find an excellent choice for a lazy breakfast, as well as tempting delicatessens such as Lucy's of Ambleside; a treat for stocking up the kitchen. For a special evening out, try The Glass House restaurant in Ambleside village centre; favoured by Gordon Ramsey among others!
Just outside the village centre you'll reach Waterhead Pier on the shores of Lake Windermere, within easy walking distance. From the pier, Windermere Lake Cruises depart to Bowness and Lakeside - two other popular Lake District holiday destinations and well worth a visit. An evening cruise and buffet on the lake is highly recommended on a romantic occasion!
Ambleside is also renowned as a base for walking in the Lake District. You'll find easy and challenging Ambleside walking routes beginning in the village and surrounding area, plenty of advice on hand in expert shops and tourist information. Famous Lake District walks in the Langdale Valley, Grasmere and Coniston are also within easy reach via the A591.
