VisitEngland 4 star rated property

This breathtakingly romantic Lake District apartment with panoramic views is perfect for two couples and aptly named; through walls of glass you'll gaze out to Esthwaite Water and the Lakeland fells. You'll wake up to the scenes that inspired Beatrix Potter, who declared Esthwaite Water 'the most beautiful of lakes'. Part of an impressive Lakeland residence, only a two minute stroll from Near Sawrey and the famous Tower Bank Arms, Esthwaite Muse is flooded with light and thoughtfully arranged for both sociable time and private space. Each double bedroom suite is a romantic hideaway in itself, with relaxed window seating and en-suite shower room. Admire the views whatever the weather, throw open the windows and relax on a sunny day, or step out into the private garden and soak up this enviable location; not far from the quaint cobbled streets of Hawkshead.

Location
This romantic Hawkshead self-catering apartment lies in stunning rural surroundings only a two minute stroll from the hamlet of Near Sawrey. Near Sawrey  nestles between Lake Windermere and Esthwaite Water, not far from the quaint cobbled streets and delightful centre of Hawkshead village. Hawkshead village is your stop-off for facilities and shopping, and you can stock up the kitchen with Lake District produce at the Honeypot delicatessen.

Fabulous Lake District walks depart in every direction, and nearby Grizedale Forest provides scenic forest walks, lose-yourself sculpture trails and even mountain biking tracks. Near Sawrey itself has an excellent local; The Tower Bank Arms is a wonderful traditional Lake District country pub, famously featured in Beatrix Potter's books and just in front of her former home at Hill Top - now open to the public.

If you'd like to visit Bowness, a popular Lake District holiday destination on the opposite side of Lake Windermere, you only need drive a few miles to the car ferry crossing over the lake. In Bowness, you'll find a bustling village centre with sophisticated shops, excellent restaurants and a range of stylish bars for a more lively night out.
