Artisan Bakery, the popular walkers' cafe 'Wilf's Cafe' and also the award-winning Hawkshead Brewery and Beer Hall (selling 'beer tapas' bar food. You'll have to try them all! Just down the road from Riverbank Cottage is the Eagle & Child - one of the most highly-regarded pubs in the area and a perfect choice for a special meal out.
To stock up your kitchen and explore further afield, you only need drive a few miles on the A591 to Windermere village. There, you'll find a high class Booths supermarket and many other useful shops. From Windermere village, the A591 provides your main into the heart of the Lakes, making Staveley a very convenient Lake District holiday base.
