Aspland Place, Hawkshead
Arrival day: Friday | Sleeps: 2
This magnificent, artist-inspired apartment takes pride of place on the ground floor of an exquisite country residence, built in 1848 for the artist TL Aspland (who famously illustrated the Lake District's first ever tourist guide). The gardens were frequented by Beatrix Potter, and feature in her books. Aspland Place offers a unique and romantic retreat, in one of the Lake District's loveliest rural settings. Just a 2 minute stroll takes you to the village of Near Sawrey, with its famous Tower Bank Arms serving real ale and delicious food by the fire.
