An original Victorian staircase leads to the further 3 bedrooms; 2 superb king-size bedrooms (master with en-suite bathroom) and additional single bedroom. Whether you plan to explore breathtaking Lake District walks and acclaimed country pubs in the Troutbeck Valley, take a scenic drive over Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater, or simply relax and soak up the sophisticated Lakeland lifestyle in Windermere village, Bowness Bay and Ambleside, this location has it all.

Nearby Windermere village has a  Booths supermarket, local shops and butcher, lazy cafes and a selection of traditional Lake District pubs. If you venture a couple of miles further down the road, you'll reach Bowness on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere. Bowness is a lively Lake District holiday destination, with a vibrant high street of shops, cafes, restaurants and cinema. From the lake shore, hire boats come and go and the Windermere Lake 'steamers' ferry passengers the full length of the lake with stops at Ambleside and Lakeside. Windermere Golf Club is only a short drive out of Bowness, on the way to the Lyth Valley.

Head north on the famously scenic stretch of the A591, along the shores of the lake, and you'll reach cosmopolitan Ambleside. Ambleside is known for its contemporary shopping, excellent restaurants and lively walkers' community. Windermere Lake Cruises also depart just outside Ambleside, at Waterhead Pier.
