This delightful Lakeland character cottage is part of a row in the hamlet of Crook, surrounded by scenic strolls and country pub lunches, yet only a few miles from Bowness village and the shores of Lake Windermere. The rural yet convenient location is sublime for a relaxed retreat; walks from your door, 'pay as you play' golf nearby and a fabulous Lakeland local only 100 yards away. Park right outside the cottage, with extra spaces close by. Entrance porch leads into the country dining room with open fire and valley views. Relaxing lounge features multifuel stove with original fireplace surround. Neat, modern kitchen with all the essentials.
Back door leads to patio / yard. Upstairs to two pretty bedrooms (one double bedroom, one twin bedroom) both with far-reaching views. Stylish and contemporary house bathroom with shower over large bath.

Location
The scattered hamlet of Crook lies between Kendal and the Lake District, only a few miles from Bowness and Lake Windermere and overlooking the serene Lyth Valley. Walking is excellent in the area, as is good eating with numerous nationally-acclaimed country gastropubs to choose from! In spring, you'll be amazed by the damson blossom; the Lyth Valley is renowned for its damson harvest and there are plenty of treats to try in the area's pubs and restaurants.
For wider explorations through the Lake District, you'll find navigation easy. The B5284 'Crook road' carries you easily to Bowness and Lake Windermere, and immediately you're on the main driven routes through the highlights of the Lake District.
