The Bay Cottage, Ambleside
Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 6
Just 100m from the shores of Lake Windermere at Waterhead, and a short walk from Ambleside village, The Bay Cottage is one of eight in a pretty row. Scenic lake cruises depart close by, there are plenty of opportunities to take to the water and Ambleside's shopping, restaurants and bars are close enough to be enjoyed without use of your car. The cottage itself appears wonderfully traditional from the outside; and the homely character continues throughout with the addition of many contemporary creature comforts. Even 3 couples could enjoy their space here; each double bedroom is thoughtfully presented, some with own TVs and all with private bathroom facilities. Cosy, fire-warmed living and dining areas create a lovely venue for sociable evenings.
