It's found only a couple of miles from the centre of Hawkshead village, within the romantic grounds of 5 star West Vale Country House at Far Sawrey. Lake Windermere and the car ferry crossing to Bowness are also only a couple of miles away, and a great local pub is only a minute's stroll from your door. Perfect to return to after a long day on foot! The accommodation is spacious for a couple and beautifully presented; comfy leather sofas, luxurious bedroom and stylish bathroom. As if this spectacular location wasn't enough!

Far Sawrey is a sleepy hamlet to the west of Windermere, with a stunning church and excellent local pub. Walking routes surround you in this spectacular area of countryside, sometimes with no need to even use your car!
From the village, travel north on the B5285 to Esthwaite Water then picture-postcard Hawkshead. Or, take a short drive to the car ferry crossing over Lake Windermere, providing your scenic route to the the shops, supermarket, attractions and entertainments of bustling Bowness. What a way to stock up your self-catering kitchen!
