Via Alta, Troutbeck
Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 6
What a location! This unique Lake District character property takes its name (which means high road) from it's spectacular position - just off the dramatic Kirkstone Pass. Occupying the upper levels of a traditional property in Troutbeck village, Via Alta presents luxurious and spacious accommodation under splendid vaulted ceilings, warmed by a feature woodburning stove and with en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom. The views from the house are unforgettable, and the Wansfell Pike walking route is metres from the door. Walkers will be spoilt for choice, and foodies will be glad of the short stroll to the Queens Head or the Mortal Man, both of which serve excellent Lake District gastropub menus and real local ale.
