Parking permit provided for outside or very near the cottage. Enter to the cosy lounge with sinking sofas, large TV/DVD and woodburning stove. Chic separate dining room with room for 6 people, leading to the 2nd lounge/games room with games console/darts etc. Neat fitted kitchen leading to the furnished, enclosed rear patio. Upstairs to the double bedroom and 2 luxury bathroom facilities, then upstairs again to a 2nd king-size double bedroom with dressing room.

Ambleside is a popular Lake District village, taking a very scenic location on the northern shores of Lake Windermere and surrounded by a dramatic backdrop of Lakeland Fells. It's a superb choice for couples or groups, who'll enjoy being able to explore on foot and sample the very best of Lakeland village life!
In Ambleside village centre, you'll find sophisticated shopping and fabulous eating - an array of cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs await. Ambleside also has two cinema venues, adding to a wide range of choices for romantic or sociable evenings out!
Why not take a cruise on Lake Windermere during your stay? Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Ambleside Pier at Waterhead, which is just a stroll out of the village - a great way to explore Bowness and Lakeside without having to drive.

Follow the A591 north past tranquil Rydal Water to historic Grasmere, and visit such attractions as the former home of William Wordsworth at Dove Cottage and The Wordsworth Museum. The A591 also leads easily south to Troutbeck Bridge, Windermere and on to Bowness.
