River Bank (Langdale), Langdale

Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 4

VisitEngland 3 star rated property

Close to the banks of the River Brathay in the Langdale Valley, this traditional Lakeland cottage, with a rather more contemporary interior, has an enchanting outlook towards the ancient river bridge. River Bank presents a perfect 'getaway' opportunity at any time of year; cosy up by the woodburning stove in winter or dine al-fresco in the private garden in summer. The interior is just modern enough to feel special, without losing the character of the property. Your local community is Skelwith Bridge - a brilliantly located village at the entrance to the Langdale Valley. You'll have easy access to the honeypot villages of Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston and Hawkshead. A much-envied bolt-hole!

Accommodation in detail
Enter to a useful boot room, then the crisp kitchen with the full range of modern appliances. Through to the spacious living/ dining room with woodburning stove, bold red leather sofas and substantial dining table. Upstairs to king-size double bedroom with river outlook and fitted wardrobes. House bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Upstairs again to the nautocal themed twin room with river views. Outside, the private rear garden is furnished and a delight for al-fresco dining and barbeques, there is also a small front garden with a stone seat with river views.
