Enter to the open plan living area with TV, deep-cushioned furnishings and a family-sized dining table open to the compact kitchen. The living area opens out to the patio, which is furnished for meals al-fresco. The modern double bedroom has a king-size bed. Compact bunk room with stacked beds. Family bathroom with shower over bath. Partial lake views can be enjoyed from the patio, and the grounds of Storrs Hall offer a wealth of nature to explore.

Nearby Bowness village has a wide range of shops, a Tesco supermarket and a couple of excellent delis serving local treats. There are a wide range of restaurants in Bowness, to suit all budgets - from top quality Fish & Chips to fine dining overlooking the lake.
Windermere Golf Club is located just outside Bowness, and you'll find mini golf and tennis facilities available on 'The Glebe' - a park on the lake shore. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Bowness Pier to Ambleside and Lakeside, and row boats and powered hire boats are available. There are also many family attractions in Bowness, such as the Royalty cinema and Old Laundry Theatre, and the award-winning World of Beatrix Potter attraction.
If you're Beatrix Potter fans, why not take the car-ferry across Lake Windermere to visit her former home at Hill Top near Hawkshead? This stunning area on the western side of Lake Windermere is ideal for walking, or simply touring the area's excellent traditional pubs to sample some real Lakeland ale.
