Limefitt Lodge, Troutbeck
Arrival day: Saturday | Sleeps: 6
We instantly fell in love with this sophisticated Lakeland log cabin, proudly situated in a select park country setting commanding wonderful views over this green lush valley.
If searching for somewhere special to escape from the everyday and spend precious time together then you have found it here, spread out in your own Lakeland lodge, gaze at the views and enjoy al-fresco living on the substantial verandah / balcony. What a location! The views from the property are superb, and this is a walker's paradise straight from the door. Walkers will be spoilt for choice, and foodies will be glad of the short stroll to either The Haybarn only a few hundred yards away or the Queens Head and the Mortal Man, both of which serve excellent Lake District gastro pub menus and real local ale.

Limefitt Park is situated just 3 miles from both Ambleside and Windermere, but being hidden away in the tranquil Troutbeck Valley it provides a uniquely peaceful environment set in some of the Lake District's most spectacular scenery.
In spite of the peaceful setting, Limefitt Park is ideally placed for easy access to the major Lake District visitor attractions like the Windermere and Ullswater Steamers and the Beatrix Potter attractions.
Because of its location Limefitt is also a great base for walking and mountain biking, or you could try your hand at fishing, pony trekking, mountain biking or any of a host of other activities that are readily available in the South Lakes.
Facilities at Limefitt include a reception area, a well stocked shop, the Haybarn on-site pub, a kids play area with zip wire, a games field, a dog field and the ever popular river pool.
