Only a minute's stroll away is Windermere, alive with excellent restaurants and bars to tempt you out and here, walks are in abundance straight from your doorstep including Orrest Head, where the views out over Lake Windermere are simply breathtaking. Accommodation in detail
Secure private parking space with secure entry system to a staircase leading to the 3rd floor. Entrance hall leading into the wonderful living space. From here you are drawn to the bay window and the far reaching superb views; the living space is designed for relaxation with sumptuous furnishings; the open-plan designer kitchen has everything you may need. There are two chic bedrooms, one king size and a double. The bathroom is designed for long soaks after a day on the fells with shower over a 'P' shaped bath. The parking area has a raised patio with furniture.
Windermere village is found on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, just a couples of miles north of Bowness Bay. The village is only about 20 minutes from the M6, and enjoys good train connections via Oxenholme station.
Stocking up the kitchen is a particular treat in Windermere village, with a high-class Booths supermarket selling the finest local produce as well as everyday essentials. The village has a traditional butcher, and many other useful shops making it an ideal holiday base.
Just a couple of miles down the road from Windermere is Bowness village, nestled on the shores of Lake Windermere. While staying nicely away from the bustle of this popular Lake District holiday destination, you'll be within easy reach of Bowness Bay's romantic lake cruises, hire boats and lake shore activities - as well as lively nightlife and an excellent range of restaurants.
If you're keen on walking in the Lake District, Windermere is a great place to start. There are several scenic routes in the immediate area, including Orrest Head which promises fabulous lake views from the very manageable summit.
If you'd like to explore famous routes around Ambleside, in the Langdale Valley, Grasmere or even the Coniston Fells, your position just off the A591 (the main route into the heart of the Lakes) will ensure simple and manageable journeys to your starting point.
