This picturesque hamlet has a small gathering of traditional Lakeland cottages and is found at the southern tip of Lake Windermere with beautiful views in every direction. A hotel and pub are less than a mile away as is a useful shop and a few hundred yards from the cottage is Fell Foot Park, run by The National Trust, and a magnificent place to walk along by the lake shore from dawn until dusk. Walks are in abundance straight from the door of Headswood Cottage, yet it is difficult to tear yourselves away on summer days, as the garden to the cottage is a real secluded feature. Bowness is a short drive away and is teaming with life including a plethora of restaurants, local shops and pubs together with the rich variety of water bourne activities. If you are searching for a romantic retreat in absolute peace and quiet with all modern luxuries then it will be hard to find better than this little gem which is ideal for a holiday at any time of the year.
The accommodation is all on one level and adjoins the owners fine home and and comprises; Entrance into the contemporary kitchen, very well equipped and providing all you may need. The beautiful lounge / dining room is full of light and has full length sliding patio doors leading out to the patio and garden. You can see the lake from this room and the sumptuous deep cushioned furnishings are perfect for relaxation after a hard day on the fells. The bedroom is lovely and the shower room is too but we have to mention again the delightful garden, which is private with stunning countryside views and an absolute must for meals 'al fresco'.
