Situated alongside the Lakeside Road, only a few miles from Bowness-on-Windermere and very close to Lake Windermere itself, (the photograph of the lake is taken only a few hundred yards from the cottage), the village hosts a plethora of excellent restaurants, local shops and pubs to tempt you, or if you prefer the quieter life then why not try the wonderful Masons Arms country inn, serving real ales and superb food, only a short drive from the cottage. Burrow Cottage has been lovingly restored for this season by it's new owners to provide a truly beautiful yet traditional cottage, furnished and equipped with much attention to detail. As soon as you step foot inside you will be instantly delighted by the sophisticated charm, and the roaring open fire is a must for long winter evenings. A soothing babbling brook flows past the cottage from the fell and into Lake Windermere. This little cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the area.
The accommodation comprises; traditional Lakeland entrance porch with slate floor and a bench for taking off your boots. The cosy yet bright lounge / dining room has deep silled cottage windows, oak beams, deep cushioned sofas and the warming open fire set in a Lakeland fire surround. The kitchen is modern and in solid oak, with everything you could wish for complete with a stable door leading out to a patio / sun terrace with garden furniture.
