Well over 200 years old, this characterful, cosy and charming cottage is a really romantic retreat for two. The location is ideal, with many fine walks available close by and access to Ullswater and the northern walks via Kirkstone Pass a few miles up the road.
Troutbeck is a delightful village strung along the sheltered southern slopes of Wansfell, with a thriving local community, two notable pubs (The Queens Head and The Mortal Man) and a post office store - although serious shopping is best done in Windermere or Ambleside not far away. Careful furnishing with some quaint touches enhances the traditional style of the cottage.
The accommodation comprises - entrance from private parking place into lobby cosy living room with open fire, easy seating and dining-cum-kitchen area with slate floor and useful range of units stairs to pretty double bedroom and shower room small private sitting-out spot overlooking garden and view (reached through the shared utility room adjoining the kitchen) parking.
