This lovely Lakeland stone cottage is nestled in the heart of bustling Ambleside, with a rich variety of shops, restaurants and country pubs just around the corner. Enjoying views of Wansfell from the front rooms Woolly End offers cosy and comfortable holiday living, appealing to holidaymakers of all ages. This cottage is the perfect base for couples or families, to enjoy a Lakeland break in all seasons.
A new modern kitchen has recently been installed and the cottage has also recently been re-decorated throughout to a high standard. Families with toddlers will appreciate the provision of stairgates and fireguards, thoughtfully provided by the owners, who have made the cottage as child friendly as possible. A travel cot, buggy and highchair are all situated within the property. The freedom of being able to visit the local attractions on foot is an added bonus. There are an abundance of walks to enjoy straight from the door, whether it be a gentle stroll along the River Rothay, or the nearby fells for the serious walker.
The accommodation comprises – Small porch area leads to the welcoming lounge with comfortable furnishings and traditional inglenook gas fire. An attractive separate dining room with gas fire is conveniently situated next to the well equipped new kitchen. Upstairs to the first floor double bedroom, attractively furnished with co-ordinated linens and has wonderful Lakeland views. Across the landing, the first floor twin bedroom also has a useful wash-hand basin. Upstairs again to a spacious single bedroom with TV, and the fully tiled large modern bathroom. The small and enclosed sitting areas to the front and rear, offer that spot in the sun to sit, relax and enjoy the Lakeland air. Although there is no parking space at Woolly End Cottage, a parking permit is provided allowing you to park in some of the nearby SLDC car parks, free of charge. There is also a visitor's parking permit allowing street parking but this is on a first come, first served basis.
