Traditional yet 'state of the art' inside, this detached barn conversion, which dates back to 1830, has literally got it all. Set in the grounds of the owners house, which has been featured in English Heritage Gardens, this little gem has been given its name due to the magnificent Topiary throughout the gardens and Topiary Cottage is no exception.

There is not only a glorious sun terrace, perfect for romantic evening and early morning meals but also a fine example of the beautiful Topiary, which stands by the meandering river Gowan, also helping soothe away any fell walking aches of the day. Only 2 miles from the village of Windermere, this cosy cottage has a host of delights right on its doorstep, including the award winning 'Watermill Inn' serving tempting bar meals and an abundance of real ales. There is also a very useful shop only a few hundred yards away, a group of four golf courses, and a rich mixture of walks and cycle routes that can be enjoyed without ever using your car. A lot of thought and attention has been given to the design and furnishings of the property, with the clever use of stained glass in the original dove c6te reflecting the early morning sunshine across the whole bedroom. French windows look over the garden and sun terrace, surrounded by the indigenous countryside which attracts a host of wildlife including the popular heron. In all this detached little wonder has the lot and all of you are only left desperate to return.

A substantial wood door opens into an open entrance hall, where you catch sight of the beautiful beams, lovely view, glorious furnishings and a warmth that only comes from old properties turned new. The lounge / dining room has deep cushioned furnishings, feature fireplace and French windows leading out to the sun terrace and a dining area. Well equipped top of the range kitchen with it all. Spacious shower room with a special area for the washer / dryer. A very romantic bedroom which is also beautifully furnished. Private enclosed garden equipped with a barbecue, ample private parking and this property can be used by people with wheel chairs with plenty of space. There is even a mobile phone provided with top up card facility.
