Walks are plentiful - you can walk straight from the cottage up Orrest Head ( see photograph ), and the lush Troutbeck Valley is nearby, where two well known country pubs serve tempting bar meals and real ales.
The accommodation comprises; Entrance into a magnificent farmhouse kitchen / dining room with everything for any family meal and a large table to gather around. A sumptuous living room complete with deep cushioned furnishings, heavy beams, 'woodburner', and plenty of books and games, help relax after a hard day on our fells. Downstairs cloakroom with plenty of room for all walking clobber and mountain bikes.
