Walking is in abundance straight from the door and for the novice walker there are plenty of beautiful low level walks taking you past picturesque watermills and streams and for the more experienced “The Old Man” is an absolute must. This sleepy hamlet boasts a couple of traditional inns to tempt you out, yet Coniston village, teaming with local shops, pubs and eating out places is only a short 2 mile drive away. If you yearn for true Lakeland tradition in a tranquil setting, for families or couples then this Old Pottery is not to be missed.
