This traditional Lakeland cottage resides in a peaceful setting, only a short stroll along a country lane leading to Easdale Tarn, from the heart of Grasmere village. Watched over by the magnificent 'Lion & lamb' on top of Helm Crag, this is truly a picturesque country spot with wonderful views in every direction.
As you might imagine, walks are in abundance straight from your doorstep including Easdale Tarn, Silver How and of course Helm Crag to name but a few and once you have parked your car you may never need use it again until sadly going home. Grasmere is stocked with great eateries and country pubs to tempt you out.
This cosy cottage has a calming and most relaxing atmosphere and we know it is a place to spend precious time together and explore the Lake District. The warming woodburner makes for cosy nights in and the enclosed garden is ideal on sunny days with far reaching views over the vale of Grasmere. The accommodation comprises; after parking your cars right outside your back door enter into the kitchen / dining room with lovely views over the garden to the Grasmere Valley. The well stocked kitchen has all you need with an original Westmorland slate floor. The cosy lounge enjoys the views towards Helm Crag and surrounding mountains and is comfortably furnished with a woodburning stove set in a Lakeland slate fireplace. Upstairs to the two pretty bedrooms overlooking the woodland glade and watched over by the mountains. There is a large bathroom and outside is a front and rear garden with useful bike store.
