The Drunken Duck - review

I was out photographing some properties at Pullwood Bay in Ambleside and had to meet our director Paul for a quick meeting. We met at the Drunken Duck in Barngates, Ambleside and had lunch.

The place was busy but not over-crowded and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant - being slightly off the beaten track a couple of miles outside the town. I went for the sandwich menu and a side plate of chips. The food was served quickly and was of a high standard.

I'd recommend this place if you want a meal in the countryside for a reasonable price - it's not cheap, but definitely worth a visit if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy a relaxing meal.

Nice intimate little pub with good food - great place to stop by in summer.

I'd comment on the beer available but I was driving that day, maybe next time!
