Lakeland Trails in Hawkshead
May 7th - Lakeland Trails in Hawkshead Starting from Hawkshead Showground (postcode LA22 0NN), the 15km Hawkshead Trail Race and 15km Hawkshead Challenge follows a circuit along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways takes in panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding peaks of the Coniston Hills, the Langdales and most of the Lakeland fells. Underfoot conditions are generally good, for those used to off-road running.
The start and finish arena will be quite a party, with live music, food stalls, retail stands, PA commentary, face painting, bouncy castle, bouncy slide and other entertainments.
