Hill Top:  
This delightful, small, 17thCentury house is where Beatrix Potter wrote many of her famous children's stories and where you can still view her personal treasures. The Beatrix Potter Gallery in nearby Hawkshead displays some of her original artwork.

Aquarium of the Lakes:

Steam Yacht Gondola:  
This is a rebuilt Victorian steam-powered yacht and is the National Trust's only passenger carrying steam yacht. This unique craft marries a Venetian gondola with Victorian steam technology, all against the stunning backdrop of Consitons fells.

Grizedale Forest and GO APE:

Holker Hall and Gardens:

In 1997 the Outdoor Retailer of the Year Award was created. Out of approximately 1400 shops throughout the UK, 309 were nominated by the public and George Fisher Ltd received two out of the top three awards - The Keswick shop was the overall winner, with Skipton taking the North of England not only in 1997 but subsequently in 1998 and 1999 as well.
