Save our Red Squirrels

Together we'll make a difference

Since 1996, we at Lakelovers have endeavoured to help preserve a small part of the indigenous wildlife population within the National Park.

With ongoing support from teh Lake District Tourism and Conservation Partnership, the project will heip provide facilities to support and maintain the red squirrels in the Lake District.

Your donation of £1 from every holiday booking will help preserve this much-loved species.

As you wander the fells, valleys and woodlands during your stay, you may well catch sight of a squirrel "Nutkin" and with your help, generations to come will be able to enjoy these timid yet beautiful creatures.

Established in 1993, the LDCTP is a non-profit company limited by guarantee. It aims to raise funds to support conservation projects within the Lake District.
