In Ambleside

In Ambleside you can visit the iconic Bridge House and the remains of the Roman fort of Galava. History buffs may also like Armitt Museum.

Ambleside is characterised by majestic mountain scenery. And of course, wonderful high and low level walking. Stroll through the park and follow Rothay River. It then leads onto the start of Loughrigg, which is a great walk for all abilities.
