Well, we have just about recovered from all the festivities and of course a very busy Christmas and New Year here at Lakelovers.
Now that the new year is behind us we are looking forward to a very exciting year….amongst a whole host of other things here are the main things we are really excited about in 2012:
Thursday 5th April Onwards – Great Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt – Join in the annual Easter fun with Peter Rabbit and hunt for his special eggs throughout Cumbria. This year there are 110 eggs to be found to celebrate Peter Rabbit’s 110th birthday. 2012 is also the centenary year of ‘The Tale of Mr Tod’.
Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20th May – Keswick Mountain Festival 2012 – an action packed, five day festival celebrating the best the great outdoors has to offer in the heart of the Lake District.
Thursday 21st June – Les Commandos Percu Free Show – Sure to be a show stopping performance in Windermere by Lakes Alive following the arrival of the Olympic Torch earlier in the evening.
Friday 22nd, Saturday 23th & Sunday 24th June – The Great North Swim 2012 – The UK’s biggest outdoor swimming event – now taking place over 3 days, for all abilities and a range of distances to suit all in the stunning lake Windermere.
Saturday 21st July & Monday 23rd July – Cartmel Racecourse Raceday – One of many of the famous race meetings at Cartmel – an excellent day out for all the family.
Thursday 13th September – Westmorland County Show 2012 – Recently voted as Top 5 of the most popular agricultural show’s in the country – a super fun-filled day out.
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd – Taste Festival – Showcasing the best that Cumbria has to offer from all the amazing local producers.
