The Lake District & St Valentine’s Day

It happens every year; January passes by in a blur of recovering from the festive season, catching up with work after some time off and getting the kids back to school for the new term. So when February rolls around, you just take a moment to breathe and before you know it St. Valentine’s Day is upon you.

As much as many people will claim that Valentine’s Day is an over-commercial excuse to sell more greetings cards, we think the world is a better place for it. A celebration of love and happiness is just what the doctor ordered in these stressful times.

However, we know that it can be difficult to come up with something romantic to do every year, so this February let us cover the ideas side of things for you.

Firstly, take a look at our Lake District romantic cottages. All specially selected by our team as top notch places for a loved-up couple to get some time to themselves, we even have a cottage called Valentine Cottage, which is true to its name and radiates romance.

Once you’ve chosen a cottage, take a look at our guide to Romance in the Lakes. Everyone on the Lakelovers team has favourite places in Cumbria and we’ve collaboratively come up with this guide to make sure your holiday isn’t lacking in anything romantic.

Finally, for those of you who want to treat that special someone to a little piece of luxury, take a look at our cottages with leisure club access. These cottages are stunning in their own right, but throw in state-of-the-art gym access and a heated swimming pool and we guarantee you’ll never want to leave!

With the gorgeous scenery, romantic restaurants and fabulous celeb endorsements, we can’t think of a better place to get away with a loved one.
