Kendal Mountain Fest, Kendal Brewery Arts Centre

Kendal hosts the final leg of this UK-wide tour. Guests are treated to a collection of moving and inspiring short adventure films presented by festival director Steve Scott who is also joined on stage by the incredible explorer and TV Presenter Paul Rose. Keswick Beer Festival

#KBF2019 is the 23rd Keswick Beer Festival, set in the unique location on the shore of Derwentwater and at the foot of Skiddaw, England’s 4th tallest peak. 2019 has been a sell-out year for tickets. Friday tickets are still up for grabs and the music line-up includes The mOObs, Herdeez and Erin Collins. Combine with a lake cruise for a perfect car-free day.

 

Summer Gin Cruise, Ullswater

Saturday 8th June is World Gin Day and the Lake District is celebrating with a brand new gin experience and one like no-other. Journey across the beautiful waters of Ullswater on a steam cruiser. Here guests enjoy a one-off gin tasting with Lakes Distillery Gins. Add a dash of on-board music and you have an evening that is sure to be just the blend or relaxation with a touch of mountain drama. (No dogs permitted for this cruise)

 

Prom Art on The Glebe, Bowness Bay

Enjoy this free art fair whilst taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Bowness marina, Windermere. The fair promises to be filled to the brim with Cumbria’s top art and craft stalls, selling the region’s most talented artisans, including fine art, textiles, jewellery and pottery.

 

Helvellyn Night Walk

Experience sunset from Britain’s favourite mountain, Helvellyn. Start at Glenridding on the southern tip of Ullswater for this intimate guided walk with Mountain Walks. Helvellyn Moonlight Guided Walk is an 11-mile circular route taking in a total of 5 summits, arriving at the summit of Helvellyn at sunset.

 

 

Father’s Day, Windermere Jetty

Treat Dad to a new Lake District experience of boats, steam and stories at Windermere Jetty Museum, newly opened for 2019. Make your visit all the more special by booking a Heritage Boat Trip aboard Osprey, one of the newly-restored Edwardian steam launches. There’s a cafe too – what better way to say thanks this Father’s Day.

 

Fit District Festival, Eden Valley

A first for 2019, this is ‘the feel-good festival of 2019’. Taking place just outside Penrith in the North Lakes, this is a weekend of fitness, wellbeing, nutrition and health. For day ticket holders, the main stage hosts a range of fitness classes, from sports yoga, through to cardio pumping HIIT. Offstage, other events taking place include tuition on climbing, paddleboarding and strength training. Return to your cottage with some serious feel-good vibes.

 

Much Ado About Nothing, Blackwell Arts & Crafts House

Shakespeare on the lawn at Blackwell The Arts & Crafts House, Bowness-on-Windermere performed by Three Inch Fools, The 5-strong troupe of actors perform an energetic musical approach to this Shakespeare play. Outdoor theatre doesn’t get much better than set in the stunning Arts & Crafts garden at Blackwell, with views on to Coniston Water.

 

Sir Cliff Richard, Cartmel Races
