With the festive Christmas season and all the fun that it entails just around the corner, November is the perfect time to visit the Lake District for a romantic getaway, a family holiday or peaceful retreat to recharge batteries!   There’s nothing better than watching a Christmas lights switch-on set below the enormous starry skies of the Lake District to get you into the festive spirit.  Follow this by a drink in a local pub next to a fire, taking in the truly relaxing culture of the Lakes followed by a visit to a Christmas fair or film festival the next day to help you relax and unwind this November. Whilst there’s lots on for families and celebratory parties over November, there are plenty of challenging Wainwright walks and gentle strolls for lovers of the fells, which are still accessible and waiting to be enjoyed before the Winter weather sets in!
