At the far south is Patterdale with a little shop and the Lion Inn. Above this is Glenridding, offering shops, a garage and selection of cafes and inns, along with the boat terminus and boat hire at St Patricks Pier. At the far northern head of the lake is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakelovers.co.uk\/pooley-bridge-cottages\/\">Pooley Bridge<\/a>, again with a small but good selection of shops, cafes and inns.<\/p>\n<p>On the eastern shore is one of our most famous hotels, The Sharrow Bay, with its Michelin starred restaurant. Also a fantastic place to stop for afternoon tea.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Granny Dowbekin\u2019s \u2013 A cafe in Pooley Bridge, Ullswater offering breakfast, full meals and afternoon tea. They have vegetarian options and&nbsp; \u2018Sparkling Afternoon Tea for Two\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Glenridding Hotel \u2013 Good walkers bar.<\/li>\n<li>Inn On The Lake \u2013 Good restaurant and bar garden<\/li>\n<li>White Lion Inn \u2013 Excellent reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Travellers Rest Pub \u2013 Good food.<\/li>\n<li>Brackenrigg Inn<\/li>\n<li>The Rampsbeck Country House Hotel<\/li>\n<li>Royal Oak at Dockray<\/li>\n<li>Pooley Bridge Inn<\/li>\n<li>Crown Inn<\/li>\n<li>Sun Inn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Places to eat in Ullswater As for food and drink, well there are three main villages.
