Cartmel Race Season to Kick off with a Bang<\/h2>\n

Saturday 27th May 2017 \u2013 Whit Holiday Weekend \u2013 marks the start of the famous Cartmel Race season.<\/p>\n

And what a season 2017 is going to be for Cartmel Racecourse<\/strong><\/a>. In 2016, top horse riders plus an entertainment line-up including Simply Red and Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra\u00a0attracted a record number of visitors. And this year\u2019s June headline is non-other than the legendary Tom Jones. With picnics, BBQs and camping, Cartmel Race fixtures are becoming the \u201cGlastonbury of racing!\u201d<\/p>\n

Champagne Cottages<\/h3>\n

Tom Jones Music & Racing<\/h3>\n

Tickets are being snapped up for the June meeting on Friday 30th June 2017 where Tom Jones will entertain spectators from the centre of the circuit after the last race.<\/p>\n

The day\u2019s racing includes the feature race of the day, the competitive Class 2 Handicap Hurdle, which attracts top jockeys and horses and is not to be missed. Then enjoy an evening of top-class music and wonder back to your holiday cottage for a nightcap.<\/p>\n

Some time here will certainly calm racing pulses after an exciting day at the races.<\/p>\n
