Last year this longest-standing dining establishment received a third Michelin star, also they were named the number one restaurant in The Good Food Guide and Chef of The Year at the National Restaurant Awards, plus collecting other accolades along the way.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surprise a loved one with a booking a table at L\u2019Enclume and be prepared to be amazed, or alternatively why not try the Valentine&#8217;s &#8216;At Home&#8217; Menu, which uses the best local and seasonal ingredients, including produce Rogan&#8217;s Farm, to bring you the ultimate &#8216;at-home&#8217; dining experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another great spot is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thegilpin.co.uk\/\">Gilpin<\/a><\/strong> which is a Michelin-starred, four AA rosette restaurant at Gilpin Hotel. High quality Lake District produce and classic methods are used to deliver unbelievable textures and flavours \u2013 modern British cuisine with a twist. New for 2023 are 3 head chefs who have joined the <a href=\"https:\/\/thegilpin.co.uk\/eat-and-drink\/\"><strong>Gilpin Hotel &amp; Lake House<\/strong><\/a> family, creating fabulous dishes in the hotels two other restaurants, Gilpin Spice and Knipe Grill.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oldstamphouse.com\/\"><strong>The Old Stamp House<\/strong><\/a> is located in the heart of the Lake District this intimate Michelin starred eatery is a 28 cover restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet corner of Ambleside.\u00a0 The brothers behind it head chef, Ryan Blackburn, and restaurant manager, Craig Blackburn, offer a unique glimpse into the food, cultural heritage and landscapes of Cumbria.<\/p>\n<p>In the north of the county is the Michelin star restaurant <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecottageinthewood.co.uk\/\">The Cottage in the Wood<\/a>.<\/strong> Perched 1,000ft up in the Whinlatter Forest above Keswick in the northern Lake District, The Cottage in the Wood is a unique Michelin-listed Restaurant with Rooms combining Sam Miller\u2019s creative cooking, boutique-style rooms, friendly service and a warm welcome in a stunning natural setting<strong>. <\/strong>The Restaurant is listed in the Michelin and Good Food guides, and retained a position in the UKs top 100 restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>These are just a few of the many fantastic places to eat, there are too many to list..<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2.\u00a0Cheeky Skinny Dip\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Lake District has some of the very best wild swimming spots in the UK and a skinny dip has to be one of the most fun experiences for couples.
